I earned my Ph.D. in art history at the Graduate School and University Center, City University New York. My area of specialization is the art of the United States post-WWII, with an emphasis on west coast art in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. My secondary area of specialization is photography. I began my career at the Aperture Foundation in New York
